Akshay Bangad

Sports Physiotherapist

Meet Akshay Bangad

Akshay is a Sports Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Physiotherapy (MPT) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and extensive experience across professional sport, hospital, and primary care settings. He has provided on-field and clinic-based physiotherapy to athletes at the Inspire Institute of Sport, Bengaluru Football Club (BFC), and Khelo India Youth Games.

His tournament experience includes the U20 National Junior Athletics Championship, BFC U21 Reliance Development League, and Oxfam Trail Marathon — giving him a depth of sports-specific knowledge that most clinic-based physiotherapists simply don’t have.

Now also working as a First Contact Physiotherapist in London, Akshay combines his sports rehabilitation expertise with primary care MSK assessment. At LPAW, he brings clinical precision, biomechanical insight, and a genuine understanding of what athletes need to return to performance.
