Osteopathy is a system of manual medicine used to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
This might include but is not restricted to:

  • Back and Neck pain
  • Whiplash associated disorder
  • Arthritis
  • Sports injury
  • Repetitive Strain Injury
  • Headaches

Osteopathy is suitable for all ages, manual workers, office professionals, pregnant women and sports people.

The key principle of osteopathy is that all parts of the body must function together in an integrated manner to maintain a state of good health and wellbeing.  The demands of a busy life can compromise the body’s ability to adapt and compensate for challenges such as injury, stress and illness.  The result is often pain and loss of mobility or function.

During your first consultation we will take a detailed case history to support our postural and biomechanical assessments.  This enables us to put your symptom picture in the context of your life.  We can then work with you to create an individualised and effective treatment plan.

Osteopathic treatment involves a wide range of techniques including soft tissue massage and joint manipulations alongside rehabilitative exercise and lifestyle modifications where appropriate.

All Osteopaths in the UK are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
